This car was completed in February 1984 at Holden’s Acacia Ridge, Queensland plant
In August 2012: the ute was purchased from its 3rd owner in Gunnadah.
Partial restoration was then begun with the front end completely stripped and cleaned. Repairs / mods included;
– new front suspension bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends
– new disc rotors, disc pads, rubber brake hoses and wheel bearings
– engine degreased, new gaskets to sump, inlet manifold, water pump, rocker covers and repainted
– Rochester Quadrajet rebuild kit
– optional WB “alloy wheels” and new Goodyear tyres fitted
– new carpets fitted
– GM AM / FM pushbutton radio installed along with a replacement uncut dash and instrument carrier
– Original WB Statesman “Oyster” colour bucket seats replaced the vinyl bench seat
– Console and matching 4-speed shifter replaced the bench seat shifter
As well as cruising, occasionally used for carrying stuff for the family.
August 2016: sold to a collector in Western Australia
